LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certification is the most prestigious green building rating system globally, providing a framework for the development of healthy, highly efficient buildings with significant savings in operating costs.
Obtaining the LEED Platinum certification, the highest on the measurement scale, underlines Albemarle's commitment to sustainability and innovation, marking a significant milestone for the company and for the sector in Chile. .
Albemarle's 1,335 m2 Santiago office joins a select group of buildings that have implemented exceptional sustainable practices in key areas such as energy efficiency, water management, sustainable material selection, indoor air quality, design innovation and environmental education.
With more than 197,000 LEED projects in 186 countries and territories, the LEED Platinum certification obtained by Albemarle in Santiago is the first of its kind within the company's facilities globally, with the Santiago office being the only one with LEED Platinum certification, while the headquarters in Charlotte has a LEED Gold certification.
