Albemarle Chile announced that it successfully obtained the IREC certificate for the year 2023, a distinction that reflects its firm commitment to sustainability and the use of renewable energy in its operations.
This certificate confirms that the electricity supplied from the National Electric System (SEN) to the Albemarle facilities was 100% generated from renewable sources during the past year.
At Albemarle they have a firm commitment to make renewable energies the basis for building a sustainable future. This achievement not only demonstrates the company's commitment to reducing carbon emissions, but also highlights its contribution to the transition to a cleaner and more sustainable energy model.
IREC certificates are a valuable tool that provides transparency on the origin of the electricity consumed, allowing consumers to make informed and conscious decisions about their energy consumption. In addition, this certification helps Albemarle Chile comply with international sustainability standards, such as the GHG Protocol, CDP and RE100, among others.
The company is proud to share this milestone and looks forward to continuing to move towards a greener and more sustainable future.
