Albemarle successfully completes early collective bargaining with Union of Supervisors, Professionals, Administrative and Technical Workers

Santiago, July 28, 2023.- Albemarle, a global leader in the supply of essential elements for Mobility, Energy, Connectivity and Health, announced that after weeks of constructive talks, on Friday, July 21, the early collective bargaining process with the Union of Supervisors, Professionals, Administrative and Technicians, which is made up of workers of the company from the three sites in Chile, was successfully completed.

The company, which has been producing lithium in the country for more than 40 years and is developing a series of initiatives for the new era of lithium, highlighted some aspects of this early collective bargaining that allows them to reach a sustainability agreement that projects the future of the company and its workers. The new agreement prepares them for the future in terms of making people and the organization grow, generates opportunities and expectations for Albemarle workers thinking about rotation and mobility. It also highlights the individual contribution to safety that seeks common objectives for workers and the company and the recognition of the effort and dedication of compliance in terms of production.

This important agreement establishes the conditions, rights and obligations of both parties, in a collective agreement that replaces the previous one, and which comes into force on June 19, 2024.

This is the second early collective bargaining that the company has achieved. A few weeks ago, Albemarle reported the closure of the negotiation with the Company Union No. 4 of Albemarle Ltda., which brings together 345 workers of the company in the country and which comes into force on December 1, 2023.

In this way, Albemarle closes early with all the company's supervisors.
