Job Description

Job purpose

The primary task of this role to support customs and export control related work in EMEA region. This role will also work with Sr. Manager Global Trade Compliance to implement trade compliance program across the region and review existing customs and export control related policies and procedures.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

At least 3-5 years' experience in customs and/or export control preferably in multinational environment.

Proven knowledge and experience in customs valuation, classification and preferential origin management.

Proven experience in export control related work including denied party screening, export licensing is a plus.

Advanced knowledge regarding European Union dual-use and export control regulations is a plus.

Experience in Middle East customs procedures (Qatar, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates) is a plus.

Working proficiency in English both written and spoken

Advanced knowledge of MS Office and SAP system

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree preferably in Logistics / Economics or comparable qualification

Recognized customs or/and export control certification is a must

Attitude & disposition

High sense of responsibility and commitment

Strong analytical mindset and solution- oriented approach

Good networking and interpersonal skills (in English)

Demonstrate time management and prioritization skills

Willingness to develop your own knowledge

Ability to work independently and in cross-functional team environment

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and support the implementation of customs and export control related regulatory changes in the region
  • Manage origin related topics including supplier declarations and preferential origin calculation process
  • Assisting in customs classification process across the region
  • Support external customs audits including regular AEO audits
  • Analyze trade related data and calculate monthly duty savings
  • Provide advisory support to other functions on export and import requirements, origin related topics including documentation.
  • Contributing to the optimization of customs and foreign trade processes
  • Represent trade compliance team in cross-functional projects
  • Support Sr. Manager Global Trade Compliance in customs and export control related initiatives.
