Albemarle's Wildlife Habitat Plans Receive Recognition

The Charlotte Observer recently featured Albemarle's efforts to help save one of North Carolina’s smallest bat species, the tricolored bat. Preliminary findings of a wildlife habitat assessment indicate that the tri-colored bat was detected in the Kings Mountain Mine project area. The company is taking proactive steps to protect the species, said Erik Carlson, Albemarle's mining and permitting manager.
