Job Description

Albemarle is hiring for a Transportation Planning Analyst. This position is located on the plant site in Magnolia, AR.

What You Will Do

  • Schedule and coordinate shipments with carriers, rail roads, and steam ships. This involves production units, customers, CSR's, raw material availability, warehouses, sales, product management, and lab.
  • Serve as DOT expert including classifying hazardous materials for shipment, selecting proper shipping equipment/containers, and researching DOT related questions
  • Provide support to other team members on various aspects of material distribution or supply chain
  • Back up other TPA's as needed
  • Perform weekend duty and work after hours as required
  • Must obtain DOT approved Multimodal shipping certification within 6 months
  • Other duties as assigned

What You Bring

Required:

  • Strong SAP S4 and computer skills with the ability to expand knowledge into the shipping department.
  • Fast learner with ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously while focusing on accuracy.
  • Strong Communication Skills with ability to communicate on all levels ranging from on site personnel, corporate departments, and internal and external customers.

Preferred:

  • Minimum 2 year college education
  • Familiarity with transportation equipment with mechanical aptitude
  • SAP S4, Word, Excel, Outlook
