Albemarle produces select brominated specialty solvents designed for use in diverse environments, including high-performance precision cleaning solvents for vapor degreasing, cold cleaning and ultrasonic cleaning. 

Our products are Low Ozone Depletion Potential (ODP) and very low Global Warming Potential (GWP), with no flash point, easy to recycle, compatible with metals and less likely to cause corrosion than other solvents.

Albemarle's additive and modifiers span a diverse range of industries from construction, consumer electronics and appliances. In the construction and building industry, fast-setting construction materials are gaining importance in floor and wall applications to reduce build time. Lithium carbonate is used as an accelerator for fast setting cement and mortars, with self-leveling floor screeds, adhesives for tiles, shotcrete and waterproofing slurry as the major applications. We provide lithium hydroxide, lithium carbonate and lithium sulfate for particular applications. 

Brominated flame retardants such as SAYTEX® 8010 provide life-saving properties to everyday products and are enabling emergent technologies for transportation and digitalization. The average home has more than 20 electronic products. Many of those everyday items are flammable and can present a risk to people and property. SAYTEX® 8010 flame retardant decreases flammability and, in many cases, allows more escape time in the event of a life-threatening fire. Fluorine free highly dissociative lithium salts, like LiBOB, provide an ecological solution to deliver anti-static properties in polymers, especially polyurethanes.
