Two dozen elementary and middle school girls enjoyed a special experience in chemistry, biology, geology and more this summer at Albemarle’s Charlotte and Kings Mountain locations.
Through a partnership with Project Scientist, the Albemarle Foundation and Albemarle’s Women Connect employee resource group brought science to life for students interested in learning more about how our world works.
Project Scientist is an educational nonprofit that delivers high-quality experiences in science, technology, engineering, arts and math (STEAM) to underserved and marginalized girls ages 4-18.
The organization works with area schools, other nonprofit organizations and companies in STEM-related industries to offer Summer STEAM lab experiences, After-School STEAM Clubs and a Scholars program for teens to empower female students on their educational journeys.
