Job Description

Albemarle is hiring for a sales support coordinator with strong business acumen. This position will be hybrid, with some days at our office in Paris, France and some days working from home. Candidate will provide support to the rest of the sales team located in France, Germany and Italy, manage requests from some existing smaller and target customers within Albemarle business in Europe for both Energy Storage and Bromine Derivatives divisions. The candidate needs to be well acquainted with Excel and Salesforce (SFDC) CRM experience would be preferred.

FUNCTIONAL SCOPE 

  • Support to / coordination with EU sales team notably
    • Complete admin tasks related to the French legal entities
    • Complete new account creation, ensure opportunity pipeline is up to date in SFDC
    • Revise and ensure forecast is updated monthly
    • Provide support to specific strategic project notably by gathering market intelligence
    • Be the central point of contact / knowledge builder for IT tools
    • Help resolve specific OEM requests whether related to product, quality, notably through customer portal
    • Coordinate with ME sales support to make sure tasks are completed on time, including back-up during vacations
  • Manage requests from some smaller existing and target customers within Albemarle business in Europe for both Energy Storage and Bromine Derivatives divisions:
    • Respond to requests from some smaller existing and target customers, route and / or manage web requests to the relevant sales representative
    • Seek support from other functions (like for example Product Management, S&OP, Customer questionnaire, Sustainability teams) to provide timely answer
    • Negotiate, keep track of and close new opportunities

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & CAPABILITIES 

  • Bachelor's degree in a Technical or Business related discipline
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as internal sales representative, sales coordinator, customer service representative or personal assistant to an executive
  • Business acumen
  • Acquainted with Excel and Salesforce CRM, some understanding of SAP would be appreciated.
  • Be open minded, agile and flexible
  • Able to work in total autonomy, while reporting regularly about progress made or hurdles met
  • Fluent in English (other languages like French would be a plus)
