Job Description

For Ketjen we are looking for a Treasury & Order to Cash Lead. The Treasury and OTC leader is responsible for the day to day cash management of the global Ketjen organization, manages a group of 5 individuals in Budapest and one remote Chinese colleague. Most important tasks are cash forecasting, cash positioning, managing and administrating parent company and bank guarantees and all the bank relations globally. Managing the collection and pricing team being responsible for cash collection, pricing and royalty processes.  This position is part of the GBS organization, reporting to the Global Business Services Director.

Main Duties and Responsibilities of the role:

Leadership:

  • Resource Planning and Task Allocation for team members
  • Providing timely coaching and feedback, including clearly defined objectives, help resolve dysfunctional behaviour
  • Provides continuous supervision for the members of the team to ensure the quality and timely performance of team members
  • Supports the development and ongoing maintenance of processes and procedures
  • Determines opportunities to streamline current processes
  • Manages subordinates deliverables, manage team members, setup and assess performance objectives and goals,
  • support team members development plan
  • Actively participate in the recruitment process and manage on-boarding
  • Ensure individual and group training needs are captured and addressed to manage and advance proper
  • individual/team development
  • Create an environment oriented to trust, open communication, creative thinking, and cohesive team effort both with team members, pears and supervisors.

Functional responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day cash positioning for the Ketjen corporation; provide sufficient daily liquidity; execute funds movement.
  • Interact with a variety of functional areas within the company, including Controllers, Tax, Legal, Audit, Sales and the Business.  Lead and/or participate in cross functional projects related to strategic treasury initiatives.
  • Manage guarantee and letter of credit issuances and associated fees.
  • Manage monthly global netting process for intercompany settlements.
  • Manage smooth and timely collection of cash from our customers
  • Execute payment runs towards vendors according to the agreed commercial terms
  • Manage within the established SOX controls; evaluate and recommend improvements which enhance the control environment.
  • Manage cash forecasting, by entity, working with global treasury team to ensure a consolidated global cash forecast (short/medium/long-term horizons).
  • Support analysis and implementation related to various strategic treasury projects, as required.
  • Partner with Treasurer and Assistant Treasurer on regional bank relationship management.
  • Manage local treasury staff
  • Develop, recommend and manage Order to Cash including AR policies and procedures
  • Works closely with Customer Service & Accounts Payable teams towards improving working capital position
  • Build and maintain awareness of leading treasury practices, identifying and recommending opportunities to advance department toward best in class.
  • Prepare and provide various reports in close cooperation with all internal and external parties involved.
  • Accountable for internal and external audit results within areas of responsibility.
  • Ensures that Ketjen & Albemarle practices and policies are appropriately followed.
  • Other duties, as requested.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

  • College or university degree
  • Min. 5 year in the relevant field (Treasury/Banking, cash management)
  • Min. 5 years leadership/people’s management experience, good people management skills
  • Advanced communication level in English (both written and verbal)
  • Having deep understanding of OTC/ AR processes
  • Trainer skills (on the job training)
  • Excellent communication skills within the OTC organization and across functions as well
  • Customer-centric mindset (internal and external audit stakeholders’ communication)
  • Ability to interact with multiple levels of leadership internally and externally.
  • Ability to participate in cross-functional, team-oriented environment
  • Good time-manager and be able to organize his/her or subordinates day-to-day tasks
  • Supportive attitude, good interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to present ideas and information in a clear, concise, and organized manner. Listens to others to respond effectively to ideas and questions.
