  • Provide technology leadership to the site quality control laboratory to ensure safe, high quality and efficient results are generated consistently 24/7.
  • Support internal and ISO audits on an as needed basis.
  • Provide training and consultation to laboratory technicians on daily, routine analytical operations in the site analytical laboratory.
  • Maintain and improve existing LIMS system, including support for new products, and optimization of configuration to support improved workflows within the laboratory operation.
  • Apply NMR characterization to metal alkyl and other site-produced products, as well as to characterize typical impurities and side reaction products.
  • Develop robust chemical analysis methods to be successfully implemented in routine analysis.
  • Interpret analytical and process data and communicate conclusions clearly to site technical staff, customers, and off-site project and peer analytical teams in written reports and oral presentations.
  • Maintain excellence in safety, health and environment practices.

Education and Experience Requirements:

·       Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry or Chemistry, preferably with specific experience in organometallic chemistry, quantitative NMR analysis, or related disciplines.

·       Minimum 3 years’ experience in an industrial lab setting required, 5 years preferred.

·       Good understanding of the fundamentals of NMR and Chromatography, particularly GC, ICP and NMR.

·       Strong strategic thinking and analytical problem solving skills.

·       Excellent personal initiative and multi-tasking capability to balance individual and team responsibilities.

·       Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills and have the ability to interact and collaborate with both on-site production personnel as well as off-site analytical resources.

·       Strong interest in challenges of industrial analytical chemistry for a wide variety of products.
