STABROM® 909 biocide

Albemarle's STABROM® 909 biocide is a premium product from a new class of biocides offering the power of oxidizers and the stability of non-oxidizers. Unlike sodium bromide, STABROM 909 biocide does not require activation with chlorine. It provides effective system performance and is easier to handle and deliver than other biocides.

Effective control of biofilm
STABROM 909 biocide has been proven effective at controlling biofilm, the thin layers of bacteria and slime attached to cooling system surfaces that can diminish cooling system performance and, with age, grow more resistant to conventional biocides.

Created for industrial and commercial cooling systems
STABROM 909 biocide offers stabilized bromine technology in a ready-to-use liquid form designed specifically for industrial water treatment. It is registered with the U.S. EPA for disinfecting and controlling algae, bacteria, slime and fungi in wastewater, and for use in industrial and commercial cooling systems. STABROM 909 biocide is also registered with the EPA for controlling biofilm deposits in pumps, pipework, heat exchangers and filters associated with industrial water treatment systems.
