Total catalyst management Total Catalyst Management (TCM), permits refiners to streamline and simplify turnaround operations by relying on Albemarle to coordinate catalyst related services with third party service providers selected by the refiner to meet its specific needs. The combination of superior catalysts with top quality services to meet our client’s needs will add even more value to their unit operations.

Refiners are increasingly interested in combining value-added services with fresh catalyst purchases. Albemarle Catalysts will coordinate with the service providers to help assure a smooth process of catalyst change out. TCM offers refiners the ability to tailor a flexible service package, which includes:

- Technical service

- Catalyst regeneration and activation

- Distributor tray technology

- Maximum catalyst utilization by identifying cascading or re-sale opportunities

- Cost effective and environmentally acceptable recycling of your spent catalyst

TCM allows refiners flexibility in selecting service providers. Albemarle Catalysts will assist the refiner with finding these service providers in each market segment. The performance benefit values in figure 1 are expressed in terms of percent of an average fresh catalyst price. The services that have the greatest value to you are also the most frequently requested services: regeneration, recycling, re-sale of regenerated catalysts and reactor change out supervision and coordination.

Albemarle can coordinate the turnaround service cycle with service providers, or, in conjunction with service providers, offer you a customized menu of catalyst related service options. In addition we provide the refinery with a single contact person. We have experience in working with companies with high quality, reliability and safety standards and who are aware of the need to meet the refiner’s budget requirements.
