UD-HDS

Design of hydrotreating units to produce ultra low sulfur diesel is an area of high interest. Albemarle licenses the UD-HDS technology for design of both grassroots units and major revamps to produce clean diesel. Albemarle has been involved in the design of many UD-HDS units throughput the world which are successfully producing diesel with <10 ppm sulfur from a variety of feedstocks. The technology is flexible enough to enable refiners to deal with other clean fuel specifications in addition to sulfur, including density reduction, cetane uplift and aromatics saturation.
