Albemarle has developed proprietary reactor internals for liquid distribution, mixing and quenching hydrotreating processes. Our PLEX™ technology internals ensure stable catalyst performance and optimum catalyst utilization, even under the most severe conditions. They are an essential element of our technology licensing portfolio. More than 100 of these packages are in use in both grassroots and revamped hydrotreating units. PLEX™ technology internals utilize innovative and novel methods to solve the problems of earlier generation internals. Utilizing PLEX™ technology internals will maximize reactor performance and help refiners produce fuels that meet the increasingly stringent specifications now and in the future.
